About this event

Professor Klauza from Palm Beach State College explores the life and career of Stephen King, the undisputed master of modern horror writing. This lecture explores King’s early years and meteoric rise from a struggling writer living in poverty to one of the world’s best-selling authors and a multi-millionaire. Along the way, we’ll explore the making of three landmark novels— Carrie , Salem’s Lot , and The Shining —and the experiences that helped shape King’s career and influence on modern horror.
