You Look Good For Your Age: Thoughts and Stories About Aging and Ageism

About this event

Aging is a story we are all writing, yet society often tries to hand us a script filled with clichés and outdated stereotypes. It’s time to reclaim the narrative. Join Master storyteller Linda Schuyler Ford as she performs captivating folktales, literary stories, and personal narrative that honor the wisdom of lived experience while dismantling the myths of "growing old." Through the timeless art of oral storytelling, Linda weaves together humor, poignancy, and sharp insight to shine a light on the realities of aging and the subtle (and not-so-subtle) ways age discrimination weaves through our lives. You’ll have the opportunity to share, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversation about how we view ourselves and others as the years pass. Space is limited to foster discussion.
