About this event

Aerial Sling (Silks) - Level 1: This class is for beginner entry (first time and or athletes new to silks classes). We also welcome seasons aerialists in this class if you wish to practice foundational skills and shapes. This class focuses on building strong, safe aerial foundations while assisting students at becoming more confident and comfortable moving within the fabrics. Students will learn fundamental sitting and standing positions, beginner mounts supported shapes, basic inversions, balances, splits, and introductory transitions. In order to graduate to Aerial Sling - Level 2, students will be required to complete this list of shapes/tricks at instructors discretion: Sit Stand Straddle Mount Stag Sit Wineglass Split Mermaid Gazelle Secretary Cradle / Sleeping Lion Inverted Stag Jade Split Back Balance Zig Zag Back Balance Fish Cross Back Straddle Hold Pop Drop Please wear sport fitted capris covering back of knees. No lotion of jewelry to be worn as this snags the fabric.
