About this event
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where postures are held for longer periods of time, typically ranging from 3 to 5 minutes. This practice targets the deep connective tissues of the body and helps improve flexibility and joint mobility. In a yin yoga class, students are encouraged to relax their muscles and surrender into each pose, allowing for a meditative and introspective experience. Breathwork is another important aspect of yin yoga. Throughout the class, students are encouraged to focus on their breath and use it as a tool to help them relax and release tension. By bringing awareness to their breath, students can cultivate a sense of mindfulness and presence in each pose. This can help them quiet the mind and connect more deeply to their bodies. soooo... if yin is stillness, what is Yin in Motion ? It is just a little more movement and the holds are a little less held. This class will still provide the benefits of a traditional Yin class, but consider it more of "Spring Yin" we are moving with the seasons as nature intends for us to. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn the ancient teachings of philosophy--5,000 years passed down and brought to you! What an amazing opportunity to learn about the 8 limb path as you practice on the mat!
